Ninos de Amor An Indiana support group for adoptive families of kids from Latin America |
|
|
Ninos de Amor is a support group for people
involved with Latin American adoptions, primarily
Guatemalan. The group usually meets about ten times a year with
breaks in December and January. Many members are located in the
central Indiana area, so that is where most events take
place. Typical events include: picnics, visits to the
Indianapolis Children's Museum and the Indy Zoo, Easter egg
hunts, Christmas parties, and pool parties. Each year the group
also hosts fundraisers and supply drives in an effort to
contribute back to our children's birth countries. Our mission
is to connect families who have adopted children from Latin
America, to preserve and connect children with their heritage,
to find meaningful ways to contribute to our children's birth
countries, and to support families on their adoption
journeys.
